Art

Young adult art books introduce teen readers to the concepts, history, and practical skills of visual creativity within a nonfiction context. Covering popular subtopics such as cartooning, drawing, fashion, painting, sculpture, and artistic techniques, this subject area helps teens explore both the theory and practice of creating art, as well as the cultural impact of art across time.

To further focus your exploration, consider narrowing by subtopics such as art history for historical movements, drawing and cartooning for specific creative skills, or fashion design and techniques for applied artistry. These subdivisions allow readers to build targeted expertise or satisfy particular artistic interests relevant to young adult learners.
