Art enacted in a neighborhood
This monograph documents a project built around movement through a residential area: Katerina Seda crossed the fences, walls, or hay bales of neighbors who had not knowingly joined in. The work reflects her broader practice of using friends, family, and her hometown community as artistic material, with performances and public interventions intended to prompt social exchange. The book’s subject is therefore both the artist’s action and the interactions it sets in motion among people sharing a place.
