A structured introduction to food safety

Food safety is presented here as a field spanning the full path from food origins and labeling to storage, preparation, transport, handling, and hygiene. The description also distinguishes physical, chemical, and biological contamination, with examples such as foreign objects, agricultural or veterinary substances, and harmful microorganisms. Alongside these foundational topics, the book includes approaches, evaluations, and methodologies related to the subject, giving it both conceptual and practical dimensions. Its scope makes food safety legible as a connected set of concerns rather than a matter of hygiene alone.
