A guided workbook for pointed-pen practice

Laura Di Piazza’s 48-page workbook organizes Copperplate practice around traditional writing guidelines, including slant lines and the zones that define letter height and extension. Stroke-by-stroke examples break down each letter, while gray tracing models lead into blank ruled spaces for independent practice. The format gives learners a clear progression from following a model to repeating the forms freehand, with muscle-memory practice as a central aim. The book places Copperplate within the history of pointed-pen scripts, identifying it as a tradition developed in 16th-century England and a basis for modern calligraphy.

Good fit for readers who enjoy
