A corgi-led Christmas rescue

Christmas faces a logistical crisis when Santa’s reindeer go on strike, and Sergeant Major Barkington is ready to help. His forever-home day takes an unexpected turn as he and a chorus of corgis set out for the North Pole, relying on a secret skill to get Christmas moving. The setup pairs holiday mischief with a rescue mission, while the reindeer’s need for a break gives the adventure a small note of teamwork and care. The picture-book premise centers on festive animals, a journey around the world, and the question of whether the corgis can reach everyone in time.

Book overview

A chorus of corgis soars to Santa's rescue in a Christmas picture book classic-in-the-making--perfect for fans of Pig the Elf and Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever.

Corgis love Christmas, especially Sergeant Major Barkington. It's his forever home day! But then he hears rumbles and mumbles that Santa's reindeers are going on strike. Christmas is in jeopardy! No indoor trees or crinkly paper seas? No hams a-baking or family-making? Sergeant Major Barkington must do something.

Thankfully, he and his fellow corgis have a super-secret skill that just might help them save this special day for everyone...if they can make it to the North Pole and around the world in time. Can these corgis pull off a howl-iday miracle and give the reindeers a well-deserved Christmas break?
