A welcome prepared by the animals

Mouse’s question sets the animals’ preparations in motion: Pig makes room, Lamb tidies, Goose stacks hay, and Duck lines the crib as Mary and Joseph travel by donkey. The simple sequence of household tasks leads to the shared welcome of the baby Jesus, giving the Christmas story a focus on preparation and hospitality. Issued as a board book, it presents this Christian nativity scene through familiar animals and concrete actions.

Good fit for readers who enjoy
