Book overview
The eighteenth volume in Dana Simpson's bestselling comics series flips the script when Phoebe magically transforms into a unicorn--and quickly discovers that life with hooves and a horn is far more complicated (and hilarious) than she ever imagined.
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR!
When Phoebe gets the chance to trade places with Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, she leaps at the opportunity. Being a unicorn for a day sounds like the ultimate dream--sparkle, glamour, and magic at your command. But Phoebe soon learns that trotting in Marigold's hooves comes with challenges she didn't expect, from figuring out how to properly use a horn to handling the constant admiration (and occasional jealousy) of others.
Meanwhile, Marigold must endure the indignity of being temporarily human: dealing with chores, school, and all the unmagical details of Phoebe's daily life. With Max lending encouragement, Dakota seizing every chance to stir up trouble, and the clock ticking on their spell, the two friends realize that switching lives might be fun for a little while, but being yourself is the greatest magic of all.
For kids who love unicorns, funny comics, and stories about friendship and seeing things from a new perspective, Unicorn for a Day is a perfect opportunity: Switch places for a while and find out why being a unicorn isn't quite what you'd expect.
