A four-book future shaped by appearance and celebrity

This boxed set brings together Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras, tracing a society organized around idealized looks and limited independent thought. The first three books follow Tally Youngblood through successive social identities—ugly, pretty, and special—as she challenges the structures around her. Extras shifts the focus to a later generation in a culture preoccupied with fame and instant celebrity, showing the consequences that carry forward. Together, the series links questions of appearance, autonomy, and social influence across two generations.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Teens and young adults interested in science fiction about future societies.
  • Readers who want a complete four-book series in one boxed set.
  • Those interested in stories about beauty standards, conformity, and celebrity culture.

Book overview

The complete New York Times bestselling Uglies series is available as a collectible hardcover boxed set. The future isn't far away.

In Tally Youngblood's world, looks matter. She lives in a society created to function with perfect-looking people who never have a chance to think for themselves. And she's tired of it. First as an ugly, then a pretty, and finally a special, Tally takes down the social infrastructure. And then, a generation later, a world obsessed with fame and instant celebrity--and filled with extras--will reap the consequences.
