A time-travel encounter with Toronto history

Set in 1907 Toronto, the second book in The Time Travel Adventures of Ara series connects a child’s time-travelling mission with the story of William Peyton Hubbard, identified in the description as Toronto’s first Black elected official and acting Mayor. Advocacy is the central subject, presented through a historical figure’s public life and the series’ adventure premise. The book pairs Canadian history with a message about young people’s capacity to contribute to change, giving its narrative a clear civic focus.
