Tactile matching for little hands

Combining a sturdy board-book format with four embedded jigsaws, this pets-themed title brings matching into a touch-and-feel reading experience. Textures described as fuzzy, furry, smooth and soft give each page a sensory element, while bold illustrations add visual detail. Repetitive text is designed for shared call-and-response, making the book a joint activity for an adult and child. A small white mouse appears on every page as an observation prompt. Together, the puzzles, textures and recurring details offer several ways to engage with the book beyond turning the pages.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Babies and preschoolers, especially those in the stated 0–3 age group.
  • Adults seeking a shared reading activity with tactile pieces and simple matching puzzles.
  • Families interested in books that combine pet-themed pictures, repetitive text and observation prompts.
