A report revisited in Urdu

This Urdu essay collection centers on the 1948 report prepared by a delegation led by Pandit Sundarlal after Hyderabad Deccan’s fall and the killings described in the source as the Hyderabad massacres. It offers an overview, research and analysis of the report, placing the document within the aftermath of Operation Polo and the Indian annexation of Hyderabad. The book’s subject is both historical and documentary: it examines a commission report concerning violence against Hyderabadi Muslims, rather than presenting itself as a general account of Hyderabad’s history.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Suitable for Urdu-language readers interested in Hyderabad’s history and the aftermath of Operation Polo.
  • Relevant to readers studying historical reports, political violence, or South Asian history.
