A forbidden basement and an unusual experiment

In this graphic-novel adaptation of a Goosebumps story, siblings Margaret and Casey Brewer are barred from their father’s basement, where he is conducting a secret experiment with plants. His increasingly strange behavior gives them another reason to investigate, and their discovery points to plants that may have minds of their own. The setup combines a family mystery with horror rooted in scientific experimentation, while the graphic-novel format brings the story to the page in panels.

The basement is strictly off limits to Margaret and Casey Brewer. Their scientist dad is running a secret experiment with plants and doesn't want them upsetting the delicate ecosystem he's created. The truth they find is way stranger than fiction--these plants just might have minds of their own!
