A stakeout complicated by old fears

Set in Fairbanks, this installment pairs government informant Noel Harper with vampire hunter Dante as they watch a suspect after a member of Noel’s investigative unit is murdered. The investigation brings Noel’s past into the present, while the danger of the assignment involves more than the vampires under surveillance. Her decision to seek help from the other side points to a supernatural mystery alongside the case. The subtitle identifies this as Duo 1.5 in the Aurora Sky Vampire Hunter series, and the premise blends undercover work, vampire hunting, and Noel’s effort to face fear.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

Book overview

Noel Harper got a second chance at life when the government recruited her as an undercover vampire informant. Since the day they brought her back from the good-as-dead, she has wanted to prove herself worthy.

When a member of her investigative unit is murdered, Noel is paired up with a vampire hunter named Dante to spy on a suspect in Fairbanks. The problem? They're not the only ones on stakeout.
