A pirate inheritance in Key West

John “Teach” Taylor’s work as a Jimmy Buffett-loving tour guide in Key West intersects with a search for the fortune of his ancestor, Blackbeard. The treasure is linked to a Spanish fleet and rumored to conceal an ancient Aztec relic, drawing Teach into a hunt shared with Giselle and pursued by people intent on keeping the past hidden. Blackbeard’s ship’s log provides a thread through a story that connects the Golden Age of Piracy with the history of the Spanish treasure fleet. The setup combines a modern treasure hunt with historical secrets, while the title signals a playful connection to pirate lore and Parrot Heads.
