AlbakiReads Editorial

A layered celebration of ponies and their differences

Ponies of different colors, with different ways of playing and favorite foods, fill this rhyming board book. Die-cut page turns reveal new layers of Lydia Nichols’s pasture scenes, building toward a multi-dimensional picture. The book’s central contrast is simple: ponies have plenty of traits that set them apart, yet they share a role as happy companions. Part of the LAYERED VIEW series, it connects that celebration of variety with an interactive format designed for looking through and displaying.
