Six children stranded after a shipwreck
Six children who were sent aboard a boat as punishment or for a character-building experience are left without the adults when the vessel is wrecked. The story begins with their struggle to survive on a desert island, bringing together the isolation of a castaway setting and the challenge of a group of young people facing circumstances they did not choose. As the first volume of the Island Trilogy, it opens a survival-suspense story centered on the children’s predicament.
