A young woman’s path through loss and recovery

Set in Lambeth and later spanning university life, the story follows Emma Parker as a traumatic experience disrupts her studies, friendships, and sense of connection. A new friendship with James brings closeness, but changes in their relationship and a later separation leave Emma confronting abandonment and betrayal. Her parents’ support and an honest conversation become part of her gradual recovery. The central tension turns on Emma’s choice when James returns: whether to forgive him or move on.
