A rooftop search for answers

Jack Phillips’s sensitivity to sunlight shapes both his daily limits and his daring rooftop “shadow jumping” at dusk. When his condition worsens and his scientist father goes missing, Jack and his new friend Beth search for him, following clues into his past. The mystery combines a child’s urgent personal search with questions about what the evidence will reveal, while Jack’s exposure to danger gives the investigation a physical dimension. The publisher describes it as an adventure for children aged 10 and above; the catalog classifies it under juvenile mysteries and detective stories.
