A prison escape story with a science-fiction mystery

Set in a juvenile facility isolated in the Arctic Ocean, the story places escape artist Will Drake among teens exposed to Crystal-X, a glowing substance associated with unusual powers. His plans for freedom become entangled with questions about the facility and the warden’s interest in the substance. Friendship, confinement, and the pursuit of escape shape this dystopian adventure, which combines a remote institutional setting with a speculative element.
