Memory, adoption, and the reach of a poetry collection
Lee Herrick’s collection brings together more than 25 memoir-like prose poems about his adoption from Korea, alongside a section of new poems and selections from earlier books. The combination gives the volume both a personal center and a broader view of Herrick’s poetry, placing new work in conversation with pieces from across his earlier collections. Its stated subject matter connects individual memory with Korean adoption and Asian American and Pacific Islander experience.
