A building-wide plumbing puzzle

A call about a “waterfall” in an apartment building sends Plumber Pearl from floor to floor, tackling overflowing sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and pipes. Each stop brings a problem to solve with tools and practical skills, while the source of the water remains the larger puzzle. Squeaky mice and sound words add playful details to the repair work. Part of the Big Jobs, Bold Women series, the book centers a woman in a hands-on trade and frames problem-solving as the route through a building full of plumbing trouble.
