A rhyming count from one to ten—and back

Maurice Sendak’s counting book turns numbers into a sequence of visits: a boy encounters a growing number of visitors as the count climbs to ten and then returns to one. The rhyming structure gives the numbers a place in a simple story, making counting part of the book’s action. This edition presents the work as a durable board book, suited to sharing between children and grown-up readers.
