New ways of thinking about space
New ways of thinking about space
This two-volume set gathers formal and conceptual approaches to emerging ideas of space in mathematics and physics. Its subject is the continued development of spatial concepts beyond the manifold and algebraic-variety frameworks, with contributions presented by experts at a workshop held at the Institut Henri Poincaré. The pairing of mathematical and physical perspectives makes the set a focused reference point for exploring how the idea of space is being extended across both fields.
