New poems alongside selected work
The collection brings together 42 new poems and selections from six books Mary Oliver published after *New and Selected Poems, Volume One*. That pairing gives the volume two strands: a substantial body of previously unpublished work and a retrospective selection from a later period of Oliver’s writing. The publisher description places her poetry in relation to the physical world, making that subject a useful point of entry into the collection.
