A mole rat’s unexpected wardrobe

Wilbur stands apart from his colony by choosing to wear clothes, setting up a comic clash between personal preference and communal expectations. The story brings that difference into the open when Grandpah, the colony’s oldest member, discovers Wilbur’s secret. Its central concern is self-expression: what it means to enjoy something that others around you do not share, and how a community responds to that choice.
