A purple-glob storm kicks off a graphic-novel adventure

Amelia Miles and Shackleton Jones find their blizzard filled with large purple globs of goop, and the trouble soon leads them through a dark cave and across a river of lava. Their parents are caught up in the chaos, too, while the ultra-villain Glam-Evil is behind the sticky storm. The setup blends a nature-disaster premise with comic-book villainy, giving this second Miles and Jones adventure a chain of vivid hazards and a showdown in the villain’s lair. It’s a standalone-feeling episode in a series, with the next installment, *The Curse of the Cactuses*, also signposted.

Book overview

Meet Amelia Miles and Shackleton Jones -- just regular best friends, enjoying a totally normal blizzard of large purple globs of goop . . . Wait, what?! Strap yourselves in, kids, this is one ooey-gooey adventure!

Nature has a dark (purple) side and Amelia Miles, Shackleton Jones, and their parents are stuck in the middle of it! Well, sort of. Is it technically "nature" if the icky-sticky tornado was created by the ultra-villain, Glam-Evil?

In any case, the storm is just the beginning. Miles and Jones brave the maze of a deep dark cave, leap over a flowing river of lava, and face-off with Glam-Evil in her own lair. It's time for this ultra-villain to take care of her own sticky mess!

Don't miss the next hilarious epic (and epically hilarious) adventure: The Curse of the Cactuses!
