A supernatural chase across continents
The description places Joe and his companions in a pursuit that stretches from Peru to Egypt, with a worsening condition, a possible lead about Joe’s father, and supernatural dangers along the way. A shaman encounter high in the Andes and the prospect of zombie crocodiles give the journey a mythic-adventure framework, while the question of who will become the next Director adds a separate thread of uncertainty. Totem animals—including camels and condors—are part of the story’s imagery. The supplied details suggest a young adult fantasy adventure built around family, peril, and a search that spans distant settings.

Joe--with Gil, Spike and Otis--chase Rachel to Peru even as his condition worsens. While facing a crazed shaman at 13,000 feet, word comes that his father may be alive...in Egypt. Will Joe find his family in Alexandria? Survive zombie crocodiles? And who will the Face of the Deep chose to be the next Director?
(Spoiler Alert: There are totem animals everywhere, including cryptic camels and rappin'condors!)
