A filmmaking adventure returns to Memphis
Set in Memphis, the city on the bluffs of the Mississippi, this sequel brings filmmaking back into view alongside a mix of familiar and new faces, ghosts, and movie stars. Its description also points to several strands beyond the movie-making adventure: a love story, a book about books, and an evocation of Memphis’s Southern hoodoo. The novel connects those elements to the earlier Memphis Movie while presenting a new adventure of its own.
Based on publisher information and book metadata.
A most improbable adventure in filmmaking is happening once more in the city on the bluffs of the Mississippi. Along for the ride are some old faces, some new faces, a few ghosts, and a handful of movie stars. While a sequel to Memphis Movie, the new novel is also a love story, a book about books, and a paean to the sempiternal Southern hoodoo of Memphis.
