AlbakiReads Editorial

A forest day through peek-through pages

In Meet the Mushrooms!, mushroom characters dance, play, and explore together in a forest. Layered die cuts let them peek through the pages, making the board-book format part of the encounter: each opening offers another glimpse of the group. Rhyming text accompanies their activities. The mushrooms are characters in a forest setting, so the book introduces the subject through play rather than presenting factual information about fungi.
