Book overview
Combining the search-and-find fun of Where's Waldo? with the irreverent hilarity of Horrible Histories, this search-and-find book introduces young readers to the otherworldly characters of ancient myths.
Spanning nine different cultures from around the globe, Lost and Found in Mythology puts readers on the battlefield alongside Odin and Thor in the Battle of Ragnarok; above the clouds on Mount Olympus with Zeus and his family; on the forest floor laughing at the naughty tricks played by kami spirits; and into the fiery depths of the ancient Egyptian underworld. Each mythology is introduced through its characters-- gods, goddesses, monsters, weapons, spirits, ghosts, and fairy folk among others--who appear in a busy search-and-find scene. A second spread extrapolates on the mythology--be it a legend, saga, or quest--and explains its significance.
The tales in this book are sure to delight young history lovers and bedtime story connoisseurs alike.
