Secrets and leverage in Skylar’s orbit

Skylar’s crush on Chan-il has become a source of blackmail, drawing him into Cirrus’s schemes. When Cirrus also uses him to embarrass his stepmother, Skylar has reason to question whether their arrangement is as contained as he first believed. The volume’s conflict turns on secrecy, manipulation, and the uncertainty of Cirrus’s motives, with Skylar repeatedly facing compromising situations and close calls. Its manga framing and Boys’ Love classification place the interpersonal tension at the center of the premise.
