Llama Llama heads back to school

As summer winds down, Llama Llama is reluctant to leave behind backyard camping, family picnics, and ice cream with friends. The approaching first day back at school brings anxiety, and the story centers on the change of season and the support Llama receives from Mama Llama and friends. Anna Dewdney presents the transition as something that can become fun with help from familiar people. The back-to-school premise gives the book a clear connection to the shift from summer routines to the school year.
