Book overview
Justice & Liberty follows one chaotic day in the lives of two high school juniors-Justice Garrison and Liberty Marshall-as they go from bitter enemies to reluctant allies in a madcap adventure.
Once inseparable childhood friends, Justice and Liberty have hardly spoken since a messy falling out in eighth grade. Now, they can barely stand the sight of each other. The only thing they still share? A major crush on their school's reigning it-girl, Magdalena de la Cruz.
But when both decide to ask her out on the same day, their plans go hilariously-and disastrously-awry. A Shakespearean mix-up lands them locked inside a prop truck and accidentally shipped off to a Renaissance Festival three hours away from home.
Stranded in the middle of a historical reenactment, Justice and Liberty have no choice but to work together to survive the madness. But with each step closer to escaping the festival, they'll have to confront the past that tore them apart-and maybe even rediscover the bond they once had. Could this wild day spark more than just a friendship rekindled?
