Declarations and writings from Iran’s revolutionary leader
This volume collects declarations and writings by Imam Khomeini from the period when he served as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which he founded. The source places the material within his leadership from 1979 until his death in 1989, connecting the writings to the early years of the republic and the political transformation that brought it into being. Its subject is therefore both documentary and historical: readers encounter Khomeini’s own written statements alongside the context of his role in the revolution and the government that followed.
