AlbakiReads Editorial

A garbage truck takes the night shift

The nighttime routine in I Stink! belongs to a garbage truck: it describes collecting and eating the neighborhood’s trash, with the truck itself narrating its job. The city setting and focus on a working vehicle give the story a clear everyday subject, while the oversized appetite and smell supply its playful premise. Published as a board book, it brings this truck-centered story to a format designed for very young children.

Good fit for readers who enjoy

  • Families seeking a board book for children ages 0–3
  • Young children interested in trucks, garbage collection, or city life
  • Caregivers looking for a read-aloud built around a humorous vehicle character
