A garbage truck’s busy night

A boastful garbage truck takes center stage, describing its nighttime work of collecting trash with an appetite for the job—and plenty of talk about the smell. The vehicle’s first-person voice gives the story a clear read-aloud hook, while its focus on a familiar city service brings trucks and everyday neighborhood routines into the picture. The premise is built around playful truck personality and the work that happens while people are asleep.
