Book overview
Three sassy retirees. One dead developer. Zero patience for nonsense.
Welcome to Conch Key, where the sun is hot, the gossip is hotter, and the local beach just coughed up a corpse in Gucci loafers.
Daisy Picklesworth wanted nothing more than a quiet morning, a strong cup of tea, and to finish her mystery novel on the porch of The Barnacle. What she got instead was a bloated real estate mogul dead in the surf, a jellyfish charm that doesn't belong, and the strong suspicion that someone in their sleepy seaside town just committed the most stylish murder Florida's ever seen.
With her dramatic besties glamorous Babs, no-nonsense Rita, and the ever-sweet (but sneakily sharp) Mae Daisy's about to do what she does best: meddle. Morty, the town's grumpy police chief, says stay out of it. But when your house is the crime scene and your brunch is interrupted by body bags, what choice do you have?
Mimosas will be poured. Muffins will be weaponized. And secrets like sequin-covered ex-girlfriends and suspect town councilwomen will be exposed.
Fans of The Golden Girls with a twist of murder and a splash of sass: grab your caftan, tighten that bun, and get ready. This Florida-set cozy mystery is equal parts heartfelt, hilarious, and hazardous to anyone standing between these women and the truth.
