A contest for a place in Hell, with salvation in the balance

On a college campus, several demons are made mortal as they compete to become Hell’s lead soul catcher. Each embodies one of the deadly sins, and the devil’s plan is challenged by an angel’s warning: mortality gives demons something they have never had—a choice about salvation. Penny, the demon representing Pride, becomes a particular point of uncertainty. The supernatural competition is framed around a theological tension between damnation, free choice, and the possibility of redemption, with the deadly sins shaping the characters’ roles in the contest.
