Coconut Grove in a continuous drawing
Set in 1971, this book frames downtown Coconut Grove as a place to explore through a single, continuous drawing. The work is based on an original 104-foot drawing held in the HistoryMiami Museum collection, connecting the book to a specific local archive as well as to the visual record of a neighborhood described as a sleepy, bohemian village on Miami’s outskirts. Its subject is cityscape and place: a drawn walk through Coconut Grove at a particular moment in its history.
