A Christmas Carol meets the Magic Tree House

Jack and Annie’s journey to Victorian England brings the familiar world of Charles Dickens into a time-travel adventure. When they find Dickens in jail, the siblings turn to magic and the help of three ghosts, connecting the story to the ghostly encounters of A Christmas Carol while giving the classic a new context. The London setting and Dickens himself place the adventure in a historical frame, while its fantasy elements keep the focus on Jack and Annie’s mission. This is a Merlin Mission installment, described as more challenging than the original Magic Tree House chapter books.
