A video-game hero faces a challenge in Animal Town

Animal Town’s trouble is framed as a game: Super Rabbit Boy must contend with Meanie King Viking’s robot army and the kidnapping of Singing Dog, while Sunny’s progress at the controls affects what happens in the game world. That setup connects an action-and-adventure plot with the idea of playing through levels, giving the story two linked points of action. Full-color illustrations appear throughout, and the book is presented as the first title in the Press Start! early chapter-book series for newly independent readers.

Good fit for readers who enjoy
