Book overview
Add some excitement to your next session with The Game Master's Deck of Fantastic Familars and Animal Companions, your key to unlocking a new world of friendship and fun for your game! This fully illustrated 40-card deck contains dozens of mystical creatures and ferocious beasts ready to join your adventure with the flip of a card. Featuring original art from renowned illustrator Tim Foley, each card contains all the stats, actions, abilities and lore needed for a quick and easy integration into your game.
Familiars have long provided magic-using PCs with a trusted companion that can help with exploration and combat, but the rules as written put a lot of work on the GM and players to give them a personality. Our deck provides players with a fully-realized familiar that feels like a party member from the get-go, turning a useful mechanic into a font of storytelling possibilities.
And with our new "animal companion" system, we give PCs of every class an opportunity to get in on the fun. No matter what class or level, your players can find their next loyal companion in this deck, from six-legged polecats to spine-covered chinchillas and more. So get ready to make some room--your new pet has arrived!
