Learning to ride on Franklin’s own terms
Franklin’s effort to ride without training wheels turns a familiar childhood milestone into a story about comparison and persistence. His friends seem to manage with ease, while Franklin struggles to understand why the same skill is difficult for him. The tension comes from that contrast: wanting to keep up, while facing a challenge that unfolds at a different pace for him. The simple premise gives the story a clear focus on learning and confidence without making the bike ride feel like a contest.
