Friendship and memory on a mythic island

Jo and Raissa’s journey begins when a portal carries the lifelong friends to an island of mythological creatures drawn from stories they heard growing up in their Filipino families. The novelization’s central tension links a fantastical adventure with the question of what shared memories mean to a bond between friends.
