A car project with a playful sales pitch

The five little monkeys and Mama want a new car, so the monkeys spruce up their old one and try to find a buyer among their crocodile neighbors. Each step presents a fresh challenge, giving young listeners opportunities to guess what the monkeys will try next. The story is told in verse, with comic illustrations, and the board-book format is described as suited to repeated readings. Its setup combines a familiar task—cleaning and painting—with a funny question: how might the monkeys persuade the neighbors that they need a car?
