A prehistoric friendship takes shape
A prehistoric friendship takes shape
Set in a prehistory-inspired world, the story pairs Kip, a cave boy, with Paleowolf, whose keen senses help Kip stay alert to danger. Kip offers a share of his woolly rhino ribs in return, and their agreement leads him to name his new companion Dog. The simple bargain gives the book a child-centered way to explore how a bond between a person and an animal might begin, with the origin of the name “Dog” woven into the premise.
