Book overview

The farmer meets new friends and goes on an unexpected adventure to the circus in this whimsical and touching trilogy of wordless picture books from two-time Caldecott Honor medalist Marla Frazee--now available in a boxed set.

A baby clown is separated from his family when he accidentally bounces off their circus train and lands in a lonely farmer's vast, empty field. When the farmer reluctantly rescues the little clown, and over the course of one day together, the two of them make some surprising discoveries about themselves--and about life!

And the farmer's adventures don't end there. A playful circus monkey follows the farmer home and spends some time as a very excitable houseguest, leaving a ticket to the circus as a parting gift. What will happen when he meets the rest of the circus family?

Sweet, humorous, and full of emotion, this Marla Frazee's stunning trilogy is sure to become a classic favorite for young readers.
