Book overview
Cassandra Waters, teenage heir to the powerful diamonds of the ancient Pharaoh Obeko, returned to her Saskatoon, Saskatchewan home after narrowly surviving a kidnapping at the hands of a ruthless group of men. Only with the intervention of the FUA, a mysterious undercover organization, was she able to break free.
Even though she escaped with her life, it's not the life she had before-she is haunted by the trauma of her experiences and finds her relationship with her family, her three brothers, strained. She cannot tell them the truth of what happened to her, nor of her training with the FUA to control the power of Obeko's magical, wish-granting diamonds. Zackary Exacil, a talented young FUA agent and Cassy's boyfriend, is the only one Cassy can rely on as she navigates through the turbulent life she has been forced to live.
But as she tries to put the pieces of her world back together, a familiar threat lurks in the shadows as Cassy's curse once again makes her a target. Soon she and Zack will be tested, body and soul, to an even greater extreme than before . . .
As deep and compelling as Obeko's mysterious tomb, Ensnared, the second book in the Egyptian Heir series, offers a rich combination of mythology, emotion, and bone-chilling intensity.
