A new generation faces Erdrick’s legacy

Set a century after the events of Dragon Quest III, this manga shifts the focus to Prince Arus, whose childhood is shaped by the collapse of Carmen and life in hiding. Alongside Kira, the son of a sandsailor, he grows and trains as the Dragonlord’s threat closes in. The setup connects the earlier victory over Zoma to a new struggle, framing Arus’s path as both a fight for safety and a test of whether he can become a hero. This first volume introduces the next generation of the Dragon Quest saga through a blend of inherited history, companionship, and the demands of training.
