AlbakiReads Editorial

A touch-and-sound animal activity book

Turkey, bison, raccoon and mule each have a touchable patch that triggers an animal sound, inviting little hands to explore as the book builds toward a musical finale with all the animals. Peek-through holes add another hands-on element, while rhythmic text brings sound and language into the activity. The Thanksgiving connection gives the turkey a seasonal role, though the animal noises and tactile play extend beyond the holiday. The publisher describes the book’s features as supporting sensory exploration, motor skills, movement and curiosity.
